Susan McCauley, a Certified Nutrition Consultant, has been recovered from drug and alcohol addiction since 1999 and has worked with those struggling with substance abuse for over 13 years. Striped Shirt FINALSusan McCauley is a Certified Nutrition Consultant and owner of Evolve Nutrition, a nutrition consulting practice located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Susan also consults with clients worldwide via phone and Skype. Having graduated from Chico State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Susan went on to become a remarkably successful finance executive, specializing in the fields of substance abuse treatment and food processing. Having discovered the innumerable benefits of living a Paleo lifestyle in 2011, Susan veered out of the fast lane and enrolled at Bauman College to pursue an education in nutrition, a subject that had quickly become her passion.

A long-time recovered addict and alcoholic herself, Susan specializes in clients with current and previous battles with substance abuse and food addiction. She has over 13 years experience working with those suffering from substance abuse. She uses a Paleo template – including diet, supplementation and lifestyle modifications – to support their recovery. As helping people recover from addiction is very near and dear to her, Susan volunteers as a facilitator at P.O.W.E.R., a 12-step recovery workshop for women. Susan also serves on the Board of Directors of Parisi House on the Hill, a non-profit treatment program for women and their children. She is the host of the upcoming functional medicine podcast Dr. Ruscio Radio and has been a guest on the Low Carb Conversations and Finding Our Hunger podcasts and has guest blogged on the Paleo f(x) website. Susan lives in Morgan Hill, California with her mostly Paleo husband John and their three cats.

After 16 years in radio as an on-air personality, Kendall’s experience in radio led her to create a voiceover company. In 2012, she added food policy to her credentials while researching, creating, and successfully implementing programs within local schools to bring all children access to healthier foods. Her passion for optimal health, nutrition, and helping others culminated in the commencement of a health and wellness blog, Primal Balance, and the completion of a certificate in nutritional therapy from Nutritional Therapy Association.

During her tenure in the ancestral health community, she’s made a variety of professional contributions including writing, hosting the popular Born Primal podcast, and motivational speaking. Kendall has been a guest speaker at health symposiums in cities across the country including Berkeley, Atlanta, and Austin. She has also co-led and spoken at wellness retreats in Jamaica. She has created a practice dedicated to helping people live a holistic life through healthy eating practices, lifestyle, mindfulness, and empowerment. In her public speaking role, Kendall discusses perfectionism recovery, letting go of control and shame, finding balance, and creating a fulfilled, peaceful life. Kendall is a mom to four girls including a set of twins and lives with her husband and daughters on an urban farm in Charlotte, NC.
